Each session offers uninterrupted, non-judgemental listening. The listener’s role is to hold a safe space for you to speak and be heard, focusing entirely on listening rather than providing therapy, diagnosis or advice. You are free to book further sessions as needed; frequency and duration are arranged to suit your circumstances and preferences.
How it works at LISTENKIND
Clear, confidential listening in East Midlands
When appropriate, listeners will signpost local or national support services to help you access other kinds of assistance. Examples of services we may signpost to include Derbyshire Mind, NHS mental health teams, Samaritans and local community bereavement or addiction groups. We will provide contact details and explain referral routes where relevant. All conversations are treated confidentially in line with our privacy and safeguarding policies; if there is a risk of harm we will explain any necessary safeguarding steps and work with you to keep you safe.
Getting started is straightforward. Contact LISTENKIND in Derby to arrange a one-to-one conversation with a trained listener. When you get in touch we will agree a convenient time and the format you prefer; we will discuss whether you would like to meet at our Derby location or arrange an alternative venue or contact method. Our team will confirm the appointment and provide any practical information you need before the conversation.
